About Us

Our story, our standards, and the values that carry Canada to the world stage

How We Formed

A team built from a coast-to-coast community of saltwater kayak anglers

Saltwater kayak fishing in Canada has been a quiet groundswell for years, a tight community of anglers chasing species offshore and inshore species from human-powered craft across Canada. As the sport grew internationally, it became clear Canada deserved a seat at the table.

Team Canada Saltwater Kayak Fishing was assembled to fill that seat. The team brings together anglers from across the country — paddlers, guides, and competitors who have spent years on the water — united by a shared belief that Canada can compete with the world's best kayak fishing nations.

Our mission is straightforward: represent Canada with excellence, grow the sport at home, and carry our coastal heritage onto the global stage.
